Who is Dr. Frank Anderson?
In an effort to deepen our understanding of our bodies and the intelligence they hold, KINRGY collaborated with pioneering Harvard-trained psychiatrist, therapist and trauma specialist Dr. Frank Anderson, who has spent the past three decades studying neuroscience and trauma treatment, to evolve our Signature Method: KINRGY TRANSFORM. This evolution innovates and differentiates the KINRGY Signature Method to be the world’s first and only trauma-informed dance fitness & energy healing modality that’s backed by the efficacy of neuroscience and evidence-based research. Our new platform will feature the science studies and findings for you to explore.
What does it mean to be trauma-informed?
We believe that an important part of being a judgment-free dance platform is being trauma-informed and resisting the need to be perfect.
There is a difference between being trauma-informed, trauma-trained and trauma-specific services and modalities.
An organization being trauma-informed, according to SAMHSA* is “a program, organization, or system that is trauma-informed realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery; recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others involved with the system; and responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices, and seeks to actively resist re-traumatization.”
While KINRGY is a dance fitness modality and is not a trauma-specific service or a trauma-healing modality, we have a fundamental realization at KINRGY for how trauma can affect families, groups, organizations, and communities as well as individuals. Through the trauma-informed lens, we are able to recognize the signs of trauma, respond by applying the principles of a trauma-informed approach to all areas of functioning, and seek to resist re-traumatization of members, partners, and staff.
ATN** says and we agree, as a trauma-informed company, “we focus on relationships first. We connect before we correct. We understand that behavior is communication. We allow do overs. We think "I can't" not "I won't". We value empathy. We make repairs. We do our best to create safe spaces, expectations and routines. We connect with curiosity. We teach self-regulation. We respond with compassion. We breathe deeply & take care of our own well-being. And we know that learning happens in relationships.

What do you mean by energy healing?
A meta-analysis* of energy healing states that energy healing is about “all energetic and informational interactions resulting from self-regulation or brought about through other energy linkages to mind and body.”*
After reviewing more than 2200 published reports, the meta-analysis concluded that evidence suggests that the mind can influence matter and that mental intention is a component of healing practices.
Energy healing practices vary**, and can involve physically touching the body or working non-physically with the body’s energy.
KINRGY is a movement and breathwork based modality that does not utilize hand on touch, but instead intentional movement to restore balance to our mind, body, and energy, which supports your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
In a recent partnership with with Dr. Joe Dispenza and Melissa Waterman utilizing the evidence-based Gas Discharge Visualization [GDV] imaging and modeling tool, we found that 71% of participants had an increase in physical and emotional energy, and 67% of all participants showed decreased stress levels.
